"We are villa children" - Villa in Sołacz

30 of September '24

The homemakers return to Poznan! In the next episode we will visit a house filled with science and art - the walls are covered with bookcases and paintings full of books, while puzzling machines roam the floors. Welcome to the villa in Sołacz!

Initiated during the New Plan festival in Poznań , the series "Domokrążcy" has what we expect from a good series - engaging stories, colorful characters and beautiful interiors. The project is jointly organized by the SARP Poznań Branch, the Common Point Association, the Open Center and the Made in art Foundation. Each episode introduces viewers and viewers to the stories of exceptional interiors and their inhabitants.

modernistic open space

The design of Ola and Przem Jasielski's house was created back in the 1970s, as a "cube" typical of the time. Unusual for this building was the immediate neighborhood - Sołacz, where most of the nearby villas were built before the First World War. Until the beginning of the third millennium, the house of Ola and Przem Jasielski stood empty, in a rough state - immediately after moving in, they completely changed its face. The standard development became a modernist open space, where rooms for work, rest and other activities seamlessly intermingle. There is an office where learning is created, an art workshop and a library. The rooms are separated by walls of raw concrete and large glass windows, and the next floors are accessed by metal stairs with openwork steps. How does one live in a house where flowers are watered by robots and rooms are separated by glass walls?
