in the clouds and on the edge of the forest
Tomasz Stukan inheriteda studio apartment on the top floor of a 1930s modernist townhouse from his grandmother. His mother and aunt also lived on the lower floors. When he and his wife, Susanna, began to feel cramped, the idea of enlarging the available space came up. Thus began the long history of the superstructure, which was not the first, as additional floors were added to the building as it passed into the hands of subsequent owners. Despite numerous adversities and problems finding contractors, the construction process was successful, which also included the determination and skills of the inventive couple. They made the ceiling themselves, finished the wooden and tin elevations, and even made some of the furniture. The result - an interior that is defined by the architecture, stripped of the decor from the furniture store and open to the beautiful green surroundings.
