"It's a bit like a vacation here". Poznan's New Strzeszyn from the kitchen

02 of August '24

Are you looking for a good series for a Friday night? Sit back and turn on "The Pedlars"!

Initiated during the New Plan festival in Poznań, the series "Domokrążcy" has what we expect from a good series - engaging stories, colorful characters and beautiful interiors. The project is jointly organized by the SARP Poznań Branch, the Common Point Association, the Open Center and the Made in art Foundation. Each episode introduces viewers and viewers to the stories of unique interiors and their inhabitants.

in today's episode

The Nowy Strzeszyn estate in Poznań, designed by the Insomia studio, does not need to be introduced to anyone - Szymon Januszewski's team's realization won, among others, the Jan Baptista Quadro Award for the best architectural realization in the city, awarded by the Mayor of Poznań.

Inscribed in the greenery, the estate combines the best of living at home and in a block of apartments - the privacy and intimacy of one's own space with the proximity of the neighborhood and the special atmosphere generated by the residents. With its varied elevations, intimate transitions and cozy common areas, the estate-enclosure raises the bar for residential developments on the Polish market.

The hallmark of the Insomia studio is functional and optimal apartments - "we try to design each apartment in such a way that we ourselves would like to live in it". - said Szymon Januszewski in an interview with A&B, and this is also the case here.

The development is dominated by two-story apartments with a garden, ranging from 60 to 70 sqm, but you can also find a thirty-square-meter studio with a separate bedroom, a double-sided living room equipped with a bright kitchenette that can be separated, Jakub Glaz wrote.

So much theory, but what is it like in practice? A Polish-Italian couple of architects in love with the place will show us around the estate.

It's a bit like being on vacation here," say their visitors.
