Each episode introduces viewers and viewers to the stories of unique interiors and their inhabitants.
surrounded by history
In the heart of Old Mokotow, on Pulawska Street, a row of townhouses built by Emil Wedel grew up in the 1930s. Right next door, in an outbuilding exposed from the street, Jaroslaw Trybus, an art historian and architecture critic, took up residence a few years ago. In a colorful tale, the researcher takes in the contexts, draws out the history and gives a tour of the small, single-space dwelling, which serves as an apartment, work and meeting place.
Arranging a convenient place to live, Jaroslaw Trybuś took care of the right anturage - he surrounded himself not only with the walls of a beautiful modernist tenement, but also with objects with a rich history. Hear about what might be behind a tapestry from the middle of the last century, what kind of doors should separate rooms, and where to buy Socialist Realist sculptures cheaply.
