Are you familiar with "Flowers & Miut?" It's an amazing florist from Poznan, with a beautiful instagram profile, whose content with flower compositions like from old paintings, does a person simply good. Its owners, Lukasz Marcinkowski, a furniture designer, and Radek Berent, a photographer, live in a tenement house in Poznań's Jeżyce district, right above their flower shop.
The apartment visited by Domokrążcy in this episode is located in one of Poznań's most interesting districts - Jeżyce. The owners appreciate the climate of this part of Poznań, its artistic character and local flair. Jeżyce has everything the townspeople need: a market square, a park, a lake, stores, familiar neighbors, cafes and bars with healthy food.
The apartment has a florist's studio and is full of eclectic solutions, trinkets and accessories that create the mood of this interior. The most important thing in this place, however, are the plants. They are the ones that fill the interior, making it unique in the spirit of urban jungle. In addition to potted plants, you will also find a copper wall, elaborate details and floral compositions, of which there are many.
"Theapartment on Szamarzewskiego Street in Jeżyce - typical of the era in which it was built, has been arranged in an interesting way, but far from the cliché and twin similar interiors reproduced on design portals. Eclecticism comes from contemporary registers. There is both a respect for the past and a nod to trends much younger than the Jizera townhouse. Finally, despite the careful selection of furniture, furnishings and details, there is a casualness and looseness far removed from the polished interiors of bourgeois rediscovering old neighborhoods." - reads the curators' description.
The film was created as part of the New Plan Festival, which took place in Poznań from 8-14.10.2020. The theme of this year's edition is "Home."
