If you want to refresh your interior at little cost, sometimes you only need to make small changes. One of the common pieces of furniture that you can easily renovate yourself are hockers and low stools.

Painting with paint
Whether our seat is made of wood, metal or other material, we can always repaint it with paint. Either smoothly or decoratively, in a vivid color, or monochromatically. For this purpose, the best will be chalk paints dedicated to furniture, which sometimes need to be covered additionally with a hard floor varnish. However, it should be borne in mind that even the seemingly transparent one may have a slightly yellowish hue, which will end up "dirtying" bright colors.
The most common recent practice is to paint the legs in a contrasting color to the rest of the furniture. A two-color stool will look very impressive and modern, even if its form leaves much to be desired.

Optically warming shading
On high stools, so-called hockers, a color gradient, that is, an interpenetrating combination of colors, will also look good. In the case of the examples shown in the photo, let's pay attention to how such decoration adds a casual, artistic, but also warming atmosphere, in an interior with a cool, modern expression.

If you want to "lose" the deterioration of your furniture, or you like expressive , modern decorations, you can achieve this by wrapping your furniture. The decoupage technique will work well here. The choice of colored sheets is very large, and the technique itself is simple and pleasant to perform. It involves composing motifs cut out of paper and covering them with many layers, designed for this purpose, of varnish. The pasted image imitates a real painting.
Ingenious finishing of seats and stools in so-called socks
Changing upholstery
Changing the upholstery is a slightly more difficult task, but still within our home renovation capabilities. Choosing new upholstery will make the seat look like new, and add a cozy touch to the interior. Also extremely fashionable lately are the so-called socks on the legs of furniture. They can be painted, taped, or even knitted or crocheted.
