We are embarking on a mission to refresh the garden! The goal: an aesthetically pleasing space with no shortage of practical elements. The plan: to use concrete, because there is no easier to work with and more durable material for tweaking a fence or small garden architecture in a short time. Here we go!
Why concrete for the garden?
Because it is one of the most durable building materials, the advantages of which were already appreciated by the ancient Romans. It is frost resistant and does not require additional waterproofing treatments to maintain its properties for many years. A mixture of cement, aggregate and appropriate additives in the garden can really do a lot. It will come in handy when erecting foundations for a garden gazebo or making a foundation for a terrace. It is also used to create decorative elements - sculptures, imitation stones or concrete balls. The original beauty of concrete is appreciated by lovers of modern arrangements, as well as more classic solutions. Preparation of the product is easy, and if we consider ready mixes in instant-binding versions like Baumit Gala Fix, we can say that it is even express.

Baumit Gala Fix installation concrete is even made for quick installation and concrete work in the garden. Why? Using it, you will also find that it is second to none in ease of use - it comes in a practical, easy-to-transport bag and, most importantly, it does not need to be mechanically mixed with water, so you do not need a mixing container, mixer or other power tools. Baumit Gala Fix will be perfect for fixing fence posts, building pergolas or gazebos. Concrete can also be used for anchoring garden lamps, swings or clothes dryers. It is also suitable for other uses - mounting mailboxes, signage, and even poles or railings. It is also useful for building or repairing various concrete elements - such as stairs. It can be successfully used for home repair work, making concrete bases or as a universal concrete mortar.

Fixing the elements in a few steps - instructions
How is the fixing of elements in the ground, such as fence posts? First, let's prepare a trench, using a shovel or drill. Remember the right size - the hole should be 20-30 cm larger than the anchored element - and a depth greater than the frost zone. At the bottom of the excavation it is good to pour a layer of, for example, gravel, which will facilitate the drainage of water. Then we place the post in the excavation and stabilize it, using, for example, slats. The next step is to pour in layers of dry mortar (about 10 cm thick) and pour water over them, for example, from a watering can.

After the water is absorbed, we repeat the operation until the concrete is thick enough. The final step is to check the position of the fixed post. This is important, because as soon as 5 minutes after pouring water, the mortar begins to set and harden. Already after about 30 minutes you can lightly load the fixed post, and after 48 hours the concrete gains full strength.

Baumit Gala Fix can also be prepared in the traditional way. Just mix the dry mortar with water in the proportions indicated on the package, using a concrete mixer or electric mixer. After obtaining a uniform consistency, pour the fixed element, and thicken and level the mortar. The appearance of the home area depends only on us. If we want to fix a fence or a practical laundry dryer, but we do not feel like crossing with a concrete mixer and we care about time, let's bet on lightning fast setting mounting concrete. Quick and durable brick effect!
