Decorating a room for a new family member is associated with great joy and excitement. Each element of a child's room will change as he grows older, but durable and ergonomic furniture should accompany him at every stage of development.

A wooden crib with rungs is the first purchase of young parents, even if the child's space is limited to a corner in the marital bedroom. Despite appearances, beds of this type are very diverse, so it is worth paying attention to the spacing of the rungs, adjustable sleeping height and an additional drawer for bedding. Functional crib can serve a toddler even 2-3 years, later it is worth replacing it with a bed of larger size and attractive design. Bunk beds are very popular, as well as bunk beds, especially in rooms for siblings. An older child will be comfortable on a standard-sized couch. Here it is worth paying attention to a good mattress, which will support the constantly developing skeletal system.

Nessential furniture for a student's room

When a child starts school, his room becomes a space for learning and doing homework. The first desk can be a simple piece of furniture with an adjustable top height, then it will grow with the child. It is important that it can fit a computer, a reading lamp, as well as utensils for handy stationery items. If you place it against a wall perpendicular to the window, you will make optimal use of natural daylight. It is also worth paying attention to the purchase of an ergonomic chair that will ensure proper posture while working at the desk. The study room cannot, of course, lack a bookcase, on which a collection of favorite books, albums and  schoolbooks will grow. For this purpose, you can use the typical furniture from children's collections: an open bookcase or a desk extension.

Space for play and toys

Although the best place to play in a child's room is a soft carpet, surely every toy should be back in its place at the end of the day. It turns out that storing toys is quite a challenge! Not everything will fit on open shelves. For smaller items, blocks, balls and art supplies, baskets or pull-out drawers are a better option. Of course, everything should be within reach of little hands. An interesting solution for an older child's room would be LEGO-style storage furniture. Drawers, cabinets, chests of drawers and boxes with a favorite theme will accommodate all children's treasures, and their vivid colors will bring the joy of carefree play into the room.
