Not every kitchen has a window, especially when it comes to a small apartment. Without it, unfortunately, it can seem dark and difficult to arrange. A kitchen without a window is a room with huge potential! All you need is to design it well!
How to decorate a window less kitchen to make it fully functional and beautiful? We have some interesting ideas to help you arrange your kitchen.
Use bright colors
Limit the use of dark colors. Choose white, beige, cream furniture, light-colored walls and add wooden elements. On top of that, good bright lighting is very important, which will optically enlarge the space. Of course, such a room should have standard equipment, such as a cooktop, cabinets, a stove top or a cooker hood. Also key is the kitchenette, the place where we will prepare meals. Above all, the interior must be functional.

Bold tile pattern with a glossy finish
If your place really lacks natural light, choose tiles with a gloss y (not matte) finish. This will make them reflect more light, and your kitchen will become even brighter.

Install a mirror
If possible placing a mirror in a dark space will be a good alternative to a window. It will optically enlarge the room and reflect light in such a way that the kitchen becomes brighter
Proper ventilation is a must
One of the biggest problems faced by owners of a blind kitchen is the lack of proper ventilation. Moisture promotes the growth of harmful fungi and bacteria and the resulting steam harms the room, the furniture and the household. In a "blind" kitchen, proper ventilation plays a key role. Such a room requires a ventilation duct terminated with a ventilation grille. Also, do not forget about mechanical support ... and here a kitchen hood will come to the rescue. By default, it can act as an absorber or extractor connected to the ventilation duct(air exchange). Kitchens without a window are often small, so let's choose a hood so that it does not overwhelm the interior. The multitude of available models: for example, under-cabinet hoods or chimney hoods allow you to choose the right product for your needs.

Choose the right type of cooktop
In a kitchen without a window, there is no source of inflow of fresh air into the room and we are deprived of the possibility of intensive ventilation. A common solution, is also to replace the gas stove with an electric, induction or ceramic one.
Thanks to such solutions, even a small, blind kitchen in a block of flats will acquire an original character and splendor. It is enough to plan it well in order to enjoy a functional and interestingly arranged room. After all, the only limitation is our imagination.
