Previously, we have already looked at the arrangement of a bedroom and a home office designed by Katarzyna Arsenowicz of Arsenowicz Design studio. Today we visit the kitchen of a house near Warsaw.
Cozy minimalism
The investors wanted dark colors to dominate the interiors, and the space not to be overloaded with equipment. The rooms were to contain only the most necessary furniture as few ornaments and decorative details as possible. Katarzyna Arsenowicz 's design is in line with this trend of minimalism, but at the same time impresses with its refined composition and subtle play of textures and shades.

Monochromatic base with character
The kitchen is part of the open living area. Its arrangement is a manifesto of modern elegance, where deep black and luxurious materials reign supreme. The entire kitchen was kept in black - from matte veneered fronts to a number of high-end appliances in the same tone.

Kitchen with expressive stone
The main protagonist of this space is a stone with deep black-gray tones, decorated with a dynamic drawing of veins in shades of white and gray. Its rough texture and matte finish add a distinctive touch to the interior. The dark background allows to expose the unique stone from which the entire island was made. The owners personally selected the slabs from a stonemason.

Functionality hidden in the details
A minimalist approach to design does not mean compromising on ergonomics. The sizable kitchen island is a real command center. It features a wet zone with a sink and faucets for running and potable water, as well as a cooktop perfectly flush with the countertop surface. Thoughtful placement of appliances provides convenience of use, and hidden handles create a harmonious whole. The massive island is complemented by stylish metallic hockers. Above it hangs a subtle linear lamp, whose geometric form complements the modern character of the kitchen. Under the massive countertop stood veneered cabinets for handy accessories. In the built-in furniture, which occupies the entire opposite wall, there was room for dishes and basic utensils.

Practical division of space
However, this is not all. From the representative part of the kitchen we move to the cubicle, where the architect hid the so-called dirty kitchen, i.e. the working part, and the pantry. Thanks to the large glazing in the background, the kitchen gains access to natural light. The kitchen area also blends seamlessly with the dining room. Here stood the owners' greatest pride. It's a massive table custom-made from two pieces of solid wood, with visible knots and cracks.
