Functionality and aesthetics
The 70-meter apartment is located on the top floor of a new building in the center of Poznan's Jeżyce district. Adjacent to the apartment is a terrace with a view of the city. The investors are a young couple living with two cats. Magdalena Swierczynska created a design for them that is a harmonious combination of natural materials and modern minimalism. Light wood, subtle beiges and geometric forms make the interior both cozy and elegant.

In the colors of nature
The heart of the house is the spacious kitchen, which is dominated by a combination of natural wood and white. Cabinet fronts of a warm hue give the interior a cozy feel, while the upper white cabinets optically enlarge the space. In the center of the annex is an island finished with a wooden top. It serves as both a working space and a place for dining. The cylindrical hood hanging above it is not only a practical element, but also a design accent. Attention is drawn to the large oval mirror hanging on the wall in the dining area. It reflects light and adds depth to the interior.

Relaxation in American style
Thanks to the high rooms, the floor in the kitchen-dining area was designed to be raised. This created space for a "conversation pit," i.e. a seating area with a sofa located in the recess, which was a dream of the investors. This solution was popular in American interiors of the 1950s, and has recently come back into favor again. This layout also made it possible to find space for a comfortable bed for guests.

Geometric accents and soft fabrics
The bedroom was designed primarily with comfort in mind. Thus, it found room for a sizable closet with beautiful glass fronts. The arrangement is based on warm colors and intriguing textures. The wall behind the bed was covered with three-dimensional wooden panels, creating a striking geometric pattern. Beige bed upholstery and soft fabrics complete the composition, giving the interior a subtle elegance. A minimalist white pendant lamp with a spherical shape harmonizes with the decorative pattern of the wall, emphasizing the consistency of the arrangement. The bedroom is also a place of recreation for cats. It is in this room that a cat paradise with shelves, bridges and storage compartments was created.

Bathroom in wood
The owners wanted the bathroom to resemble a home sauna. At the same time, the architect faced the challenge of reconciling the diverse needs of the investor and the investor's wife. The eternal conflict of bathtub or shower was resolved by making both a whirlpool bathtub and a sizable shower with glass up to the ceiling. In addition, both devices create a common zone, also separated by finishing materials.
