What do the Forum Gdansk building, Varso 1 and Varso 2 in Warsaw, Nowy Rynek in Poznań and Kopiec Kościuszki in Cracow have in common? Innovative glass solutions that care about people and the environment! Saint-Gobain Glass invites you on a unique journey through the most prestigious projects in Poland and abroad built in accordance with the principles of sustainability and well-being. It's all thanks to the album "In the light of glass", which was released in early February.
Architecture in harmony with nature
The year 2022 has been hailed as the year of glass, but the fascination with its unique characteristics and design possibilities has been going on for a long time and is gaining strength every day. Thanks to advanced production systems, glass sheets can now boast excellent functional properties and visual qualities, thus meeting even the most stringent standards. They are seen as an ally in the fight against progressive climate change, and the future of architecture in the light of glass looks promising.
According to a report by the Polish Green Building Association, from March 2019 to March 2020 as many as 51% of certified buildings from the CEE region were located in Poland. Many of the awarded investments feature innovative glass solutions from Saint-Gobain Glass, the European leader in the glass market. This year the company decided to collect its most important projects in the form of an album entitled "In the Light of Glass.

Fascination with glass solids
Thealbum "In the light of glass" published by Saint-Gobain Glass is an almanac featuring the most beautiful and prestigious architectural objects realized in Poland and abroad. The stories behind them are told on 240 pages by prominent architects, contractors, representatives of partner companies and employees themselves. In total, more than 60 people participated in the project, united by a passion for creating sustainable space - in light of glass.
-Creatingthe album "In the light of glass" was no small undertaking for us and required great commitment ," concludes Benedykt Korduła. - This is the first such study of our authorship on such a large scale. We are proud to give you a collection of the most important realizations created in recent years and being the fruit of the work of many great specialists, who on the pages of this publication wanted to share with the readers their experiences and emotions accompanying them in the creation of individual projects, making calculations or the production and installation of glass elements.
The invitation to co-create the album was also accepted by independent experts, who shared their knowledge of trends in contemporary architecture and the challenges faced by designers today: Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys , well-known in the industry, an architect, Vice President of SARP for Environment and Climate Protection, Partner and Board Member of APA Wojciechowski Studio, and Kacper Kępiński , an architect, exhibition curator, publicist, head of the External Projects and Exhibitions Department of the National Institute of Architecture and Urbanism.
