In a previous article we already showed bathrooms designed by architect Agnieszka Musiał-Chmielnik of Musiał Studio. Today we present the rest of the interiors of a house near Warsaw.
Forms from the Mediterranean Sea
- The investors cared first and foremost about high quality materials. They did not want to make compromises. So the interior design itself is not clearly defined. Through the use of brass decorations, stucco, quartzite and velvet fabrics, it mixes the Modern Classic style and the cozy Southern Mediterranean style. The latter refers to Spanish and Portuguese interiors, in which wood is intertwined with stone, a variety of fabrics and a multitude of patterns - explains architect Agnieszka Musiał-Chmielnik.
Neither did the architect herself compromise, who with special care reconciled two seemingly completely different styles. As a result, the elegant interiors are both warm and cozy. However, this required very thoughtful aesthetic solutions. And so, for example, the rounded forms of the wooden wall cabinet look beautiful against the white mosaic in the kitchen, and the decorative lamps, looking like they were made of seaside pebbles, perfectly correspond with the light form of the veneered table in the dining room. A whole spectrum of structures, textures and patterns native to the Mediterranean Sea was used here, which were dressed in elegant, rounded forms typical of modern classics and seasoned with a pinch of gold and brass.

Subtle division
The open-plan living area on the first floor creates two independent parts - the kitchen and the living room. As a result, the kitchenette and dining room are connected to the living area, but do not intermingle, allowing you to enjoy the functionality and purpose of each. The white kitchen is elegant and does not dominate the room. The already mentioned wood-colored cabinetry adds to its living room character, while the functional island, which is decorated with natural quartzite cladding, marks the boundary between the food preparation zone and the dining room. The latter is organized by a modern table with a round top, at which three types of chairs are set - elegant, upholstered in gray fabric, and light in appearance, with characteristic bent forms with Viennese braid on the seats and backs.

Warmed classics
On the opposite side is an open living room. Its main feature is a large, comfortable sofa in graphite color. It is complemented by a coffee table, made of the same quartzite as the kitchen countertop, and a decorative bookcase. Both pieces of furniture have brass finishes that correspond with the lighting. The style of the room is emphasized by wooden furniture with classic forms - a small desk and a RTV cabinet on graceful legs. Opposite the sofa there is a TV wall with a fireplace. It was covered with sandstone-colored textured plaster. Introducing a Southern Mediterranean element into the interior, it builds a warm, cozy atmosphere.

Master bedroom with a distinct accent
The owners' master bedroom was also arranged as a multifunctional space. Thus, it directly connects to a separate bathroom and dressing room. Hence the beige upholstered bed faces a high built-in unit with mirrored fronts, which cleverly camouflages the door to the aforementioned rooms on both its sides. There is also room for an elegant dressing table with an ornate mirror. The main stylistic accent here, however, is the mural that adorns the entire wall behind the bed headboard. It is patterned, but has subdued colors.
