Wood combined with wood

The building was constructed using Heksagon technology. This system involves connecting hexagonal logs with wooden dowels. Construction is based mainly on the use of solid, dry wood. It therefore requires artisanal carpentry work. The production of the house took place in a small factory, and most of the work was done by hand. This is the first house of its kind in Poland. Another innovative solution is the vertical arrangement of the logs, which were pegged in four different directions. This ensures very high strength of the structural walls, while minimizing deformation caused by changes in humidity inside. The massive log walls, together with the cellulose insulation, form airy, ecological partitions that make up the structure of the house.

In harmony with nature

Built of spruce and cellulose, the building has been immersed in greenery. As a result, it does not disturb the beautiful landscape. The facade made of tan European larch refers in color to the bark of the trees. This allowed the bungalow to blend in with its surroundings. The main architect here is the sun. Its journey begins in the morning in the kitchen. Then it moves to the living room. On hot days, the bedrooms are a pleasant, cool refuge, while in the evening the golden orange light of the setting sun appears in them.

Blurring the boundaries

The monochromatic bright interior provides a surprising contrast to the building's exterior. The open layout of the rooms gives a sense of spaciousness. This effect is enhanced by the terrace and panoramic windows, which level the boundary between the house and nearby nature. The central part of the house is the living room. It was designed to meet all the needs of daily leisure and activity. Integrated into the living area, the lobby also creates a place to work. The home office space is only symbolically separated from the rest of the room. An added bonus is a large window with a view of the forest, which inspires creative thinking.

Natural decoration

An aesthetic advantage of the Hexagon system, is that the structural part of the walls also forms the interior design of the cottage. However, the spruce lining of wide solid panels towers over the living room. The juxtaposition of different wood textures on the walls and ceilings and the neutral micro-cement replace any decoration.
