Are you planning a kitchen renovation and dreaming of a space that combines functionality with modern design? A kitchen with a peninsula is a solution that works well in both small and large interiors, offering additional space for cooking, storage, as well as drinking your morning coffee. Check out 6 inspiring designs from Polish architects, which prove that a peninsula can become the heart of any kitchen!
With a touch of art déco
The project from Mango Investments stands out for its unique inspiration. This is because the investors wanted the space to be decorated like in their favorite London hotel, hence the art déco style elements, among others. Their example is the kitchen arrangement. On the living room side, the peninsula was finished with decorative fronts. The characteristic chrome frames surrounding the black filling are arranged in the famous geometric pattern. The architects decided to dispense with upper cabinets in favor of walls painted in a warm beige color with a touch of brown. As a result, the small space is not overwhelmed.

Without divisions
Agnieszka Swiderek of Deer Design studio created an arrangement based on a rich range of white tones and wood tones with accents of black.
- The kitchen has a semi-open character. It is invisible from the front door, but through a vast peninsula with hockers and appropriately composed cabinetry it connects to the rest of the living space. It also repeats the materials and colors familiar from the dining room and lounge area, ultimately blurring unnecessary divisions, the architect says of the design.

In blue
Małgorzata Wojtyczka created a colorful arrangement of the living area. The lounge area is dominated by a warm peach color, while the kitchen cabinetry has a blue hue. In this way, the architect cleverly separated the individual functional zones. The peninsula, emphasizing this division, was further accentuated with a fluted base.

Minimalist
Adam Jankowski and Kamil Paszek of AMJ Studio designed a japanese-style apartment. The kitchen, located in it, is C-shaped. It consists of a minimalist built-in with white fronts and a peninsula. On the dining room side, the pen insula is equipped with a seating area and two black hockers, which contrast nicely with the light-colored built-in. Meanwhile, a French herringbone pattern in the form of gray tiles on the wall above the countertop adds an interesting contrast.

Pastel retro
The design from Decoroom studio is bathed in shades of pink. However, the arrangement retains a lightness through the use of refreshing greenery, gold accessories and terrazzo. Here, a functional peninsula marks the boundary between the kitchen and the rest of the living area. On the kitchen side, it conceals capacious cabinets. On the living room side, on the other hand, the peninsula has been finished with fashionable wooden laths, which warm up the space.

Elegant grays
The interior designed by the Ideally studio is subdued. Shades of gray dominate here, highlighted by white planes and warmed by wooden floorboards. The kitchen cabinetry has a steel shade. Its part is a peninsula equipped with a cooktop. Above it hangs a hood, which shines silver and thus contrasts with the matte fronts of the cabinets.
A supporting pillar covered with wallpaper with a floral pattern diversifies the arrangement.
