The apartment has more than 90 sqm, but you can't see it in the photos. The idea was to create as much storage space as possible. The built-ins are almost invisible, being an entire wall in the entrance hall.It is a few running meters hiding various useful solutions, including alaundry room,or a practical cabinet that serves as a bar.To gain additional storage space, the entrance to the bedroom was moved and located near the living room. This created two capacious closets. The design premise was also to create two bathrooms - a light female one with a bathtub and a dark male one with a shower.

One of the main design goals, was to separate the study, which will be connected to the rest of the living area. The architect wanted as much light as possible to enter the sunny apartment, hence the decision to demolish a large wall and replace it with a glass wall in a wooden frame. It is extremely solid. It performs perfectly in terms of acoustics and strength, which ensures the comfort of the work inside the office. The main purpose of creating the glazing was to illuminate the long corridor. The view from the study is amazing. You can see it as soon as you enter the suite.

I wanted guests entering the interior to be greeted by a beautiful view of the Wroclaw city skyline. Initially, the wall was to be steel, but after analyzing the family's needs, I decided to implement a solid wooden wall, which will ensure proper acoustics inside the study," says Aldona Banasiuk-Suchorzewska.

Aldona Banasiuk-Suchorzewska is a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Because of her studies, she likes to surround herself with art, so in the interior you will find beautiful paintings and intriguing painterly spatial forms. The first element that appeared in the interior and around which the whole story was built, became a painting form made by Robert Jaworski. The intense red color of the painting, became the basis of the color palette of the interior. On impulse, a red ceiling was created. Thus, against a neutral base in the form of ubiquitous concrete, colors appeared in the interior, with unique upholstered furniture, an orange chair and a terracotta-colored cabinet in the bathroom. The architect is not afraid of bold decisions, hence the red ceiling, which gives rhythm to the interior in terms of aesthetics. In the apartment you can also spot a collection of glassware by prominent Polish designers from the 60s and 70s, in the same color palette.

The interior is dominated by a combination of concrete and intense red.

In projects, I always try to create a solid, which will become a base for accessories and movable furniture. I use noble materials. In our apartment it is concrete, stone with an unusual brushed finish, oak veneer stained gray, wooden laths on the ceiling and fronts finished with brushed metal, which gives a touch of elegance. The basis of the aesthetics given to the interior was my love for natural materials, especially concrete. I love this material, and love for it, united me with my husband. It is an amazing material that gives a lot of possibilities, it can be freely formed, finished, stained. I am fascinated by it," stresses Aldona Banasiuk-Suchorzewska.

Concrete simply reigns in the interior. It was created specifically for this project and appears in many finishes and colors. It can be found in the dining table, the bent concrete table, the RTV cabinet in the living room and the bathroom cabinet with a top made of terazzo. Concrete in this finish also appears in bathrooms on the walls. It has been juxtaposed with stone-toned tiles. The walls in the entrance hall and the large wall in the living room are also concrete. This time in the form of grooved large-format tiles of classic color. All mobile furniture designed by Aldona Banasiuk-Suchorzewska has concrete elements.
