Touchless faucet SCHELL GRANDIS E
Growing environmental awareness and economic considerations mean that electronic faucets are finding increasingly widespread use in residential or industrial applications. Their main advantage is water savings of up to 65% compared to single-lever models. The SCHELL GRANDIS E kitchen faucet offers even more benefits, in the form of greater hygiene, operating comfort and intelligent programs.
Contactless SCHELL GRANDIS E faucet
Owners of single-family houses and apartments increasingly appreciate the advantages of electronic mixers, as they open the water flow at the approach of hands and close it automatically, which provides great convenience and economy. In addition, modern models can be equipped with practical thermostats that maintain a comfortable water temperature and protect against scalding. Manufacturers of this type of faucet are still working on even more interesting and functional solutions, increasing their areas of application. SCHELL has developed the modern SCHELL GRANDIS E faucets for kitchens, which combine the advantages of electronic and single-lever mixers.
Two modes of activation - double comfort
Ergonomics is king in modern kitchens. The equipment must form a "transmission belt" for efficient food preparation. At the heart of this arrangement is usually the sink, which is used not only for washing food or dishes, but also for cleaning hands and the kitchen. All of these daily activities require the consumption of considerable amounts of water. A solution to streamline kitchen work and at the same time introduce savings while maintaining exemplary hygiene is the SCHELL GRANDIS E dual-function faucet. To wash hands or rinse fruit, just bring them close to the infrared sensor and the faucet will automatically open the water supply. The factory default flow time is 15 seconds, but this parameter can be adjusted in a wide range from as little as 1 to as much as 600 seconds. In addition, the water supply can be closed at any time by bringing your hand close to the sensor again. The electronic start mode allows you to maintain pristine cleanliness, as the need to touch the body with dirty hands, for example, disappears. This makes it easier to keep the mixer clean and prevent the growth of potentially dangerous microorganisms on its surface. On the other hand, the manual handle actuation mode can be useful for activities that require a continuous flow of water, such as filling a bucket or washing a large number of dishes in the sink. The high, rotating spout guarantees convenient use of the mixer.
Hygiene through intelligent functions
The SCHELL GRANDIS E faucet was designed with economy, maximum drinking water hygiene and safety of use in mind. The durable ceramic cartridge is equipped with a hot water limiter, which provides some protection against scalding in the event of a cold water shortage. Integrated anti-siphoning check valves prevent secondary water contamination, and a 250 µm pre-filter protects the faucet cartridge from contaminants from the system. The smart electronics solution also features an anti-stagnation rinse program, which activates water discharge after a specified period of time since the last use, preventing the growth of potentially dangerous microorganisms in the system. The parameters of the faucet's operation, such as the time of water outflow in electronic mode or the frequency of flushing, can be set manually or via the SWS system, which allows all the elements of the electronic mixer to be controlled by a smartphone, for example. The solution is available in a mains-powered version or on 6 A alkaline batteries. The latter solution will be ideal for modernized buildings, as it does not require rebuilding the electrical system.
