Fabryka Pełna Życia is a landmark project in the city's 100-year history, which is likely to revolutionize life in the center of Dąbrowa Górnicza. The site of the former machine tool factory has been completely closed to residents since the end of the nineteenth century, and now has a chance to become a landmark of the city. The vision for the new center of Dąbrowa Górnicza - after public consultations and the work of groups of experts in urban planning and architecture, economics and entrepreneurship, and sustainable development - was based on the resources of the local community.
The space of the new center of Dabrowa will be distinguished by references to the Zagłębie identity of the place, visible at every step, says Wojciech Czyżewski, chairman of the board of directors of the Full Life Factory company. - Plants in Fabryka Pełna Życia are planned as an integral part of the development. Plant compositions will refer to the species found in the Zagłębie area, based on the dendrological inventory prepared. In addition, the selection of vegetation has been enriched with species associated with the landscape of Dabrowa Górnicza and its surroundings. In order to maximally reduce the amount of discharged rainwater and snowmelt, the architectural concept proposes the use of so-called green retention roofs and reuse of rainwater.
