The carefully revitalized Spa House in Brzeźno, the Montownia in the Young City and the Atrium Oliva housing development are the winners of the Gdansk Architectural Realization. Seven honorable mentions were also awarded in the competition organized by the City of Gdansk and the Association of Polish Architects "Wybrzeże" Branch.
The award for the best architectural realization in the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship is given by the City of Gdansk together with the Association of Polish Architects Wybrzeże Branch every two years. The roots of the Gdansk Architectural Realization competition go back to 2015, and this year's edition concerns investments completed between 2022 and 2023.
The jury consisted of Dr. Natalia Balcerzak, president of SARP Wybrzeże, Dr. Izabela Burda, SARP Wybrzeże, Stanisław Dopierała, SARP Wybrzeże, Prof. Piotr Lorens Architect of the City, Edyta Damszel - Turek, director of the Gdansk Development Office, Prof. Magdalena Kozień - Wozniak, member of the Gdansk Architecture Council. Prizes can be awarded for the best building, building complex, structure (bridges, viaducts, towers, etc.) or site elements (park layouts, promenades, sports facilities, etc.). Twenty-fiveprojects were submitted to the competition, of which three were awarded. The results were announced on November 13, during the inauguration of the conerence "Architecture of the Metropolis.

In the category of renovation and adaptation of historical buildings, the main prize went to the Spa House in Brzeźno (Investor: HEVELIANUM | Contractor: POLEKO BUDOWNICTWO SP. Z O.O. | Architect: ADAM SPECHT I ARKON ATELIER SP. Z O.O.). Standing right on the beach, the beautiful 1893 building had been deteriorating for years, although it was in the hands of the City. It was not until 2021 that it regained its former splendor after a thorough 2.5-year renovation. Today it houses a hotel, conference rooms and a restaurant.

Another award went to the Montownia - a multifunctional open space in the former U-Boots hall in the Young City | Investor: EUROSTYL S.A. | Contractor: EUROSTYL CONSTRUCTION SP. Z O.O. | Architect: RAYSS GROUP SP. Z O.O. The building houses a foodhall, hotel part and a conference center.

Among the winners is also Atrium Oliva (category: residential buildings and complexes). The design of the estate was selected in a nationwide architectural competition. The idea is based on the principle of an atrial house, where the center of the premise is a green, lowered patio, separated from the outside world. Investor: ALLCON SP.
