The unit works with all Vario 400 series cooktops, allowing you to design a completely customized cooking space. Having pioneered countertop ventilation in Europe in 1976, Gaggenau has refined its design to accommodate modern cooking culture, including kitchens open to the living room that are gradually merging into one cohesive space.

The Vario Series 400 modular countertop ventilation allows customization of cooking surfaces and offers endless combination possibilities. The ventilation is controlled by front-mounted stainless steel knobs, which are characteristic of the 400 Series Vario cooktops.

Precise and intuitive control knobs eliminate the possibility of accidental use,
ensuring that the private chef always maintains direct control over the appliance.

The appliance is made of stainless steel and can be installed in combination with frameless induction cooktops or cooktops; including electric grill, Teppan Yaki, gas cooktop, gas wok or induction, which allow efficient cooking with large cookware up to 32 cm wide, offering the user unlimited possibilities.

The subtle and slender addition to the cooking surface is a must in the modern kitchen and leaves the creative space free of fumes and odors, ensuring visibility between the chef and his guests.

During operation, the ventilation unit effectively draws in steam, odor and fumes directly at the source. Thanks to the internal frame design, the new double V-shaped filter, which works best in combination with high-efficiency fans, and a width of 15 cm, the countertop ventilation easily captures all vapors, even on the lowest setting.

Vario ventilation can be set to automatic self-regulation mode, dependent on detected vapors in the air. The automatic exhaust control function eliminates the need to monitor air quality. A high-sensitivity air quality sensor detects and silently exhausts odors and vapors, using the quietest and lowest power level needed.

High-efficiency motors with advanced noise reduction technology
have made it possible to achieve quiet ventilation operation.

The double grease filter ensures excellent capture of grease and particles, leaving no deposits in the housing. The filter can be easily removed thanks to two ergonomic handles and guides that prevent oil from spilling out of the tank. The design of the grease tank ensures that it remains upright when placed on the countertop, protecting the cook and the countertop from its contents.

The double filter eliminates any grease residue from the housing, and thanks to its perfect symmetrical shape, reattaching it is extremely easy.

Theunit's anodized aluminum housing has a smooth surface for easy cleaning, making the entire unit extremely hygienic. The grease filter can also be washed in the dishwasher - making maintenance of the unit always convenient.

The Vario Ventilation 400 Series is equipped with Home Connect so that cooks have more freedom with online control of their appliance. Home Connect integration ensures that the appliance always remains at the heart of an increasingly digital home.
