What is the ideal house for a family? It gives space to spend time with loved ones, while at the same time guaranteeing privacy and tranquility.
To reconcile both these functions in one - we divided this house into two zones located in separate parts of the building. We connected them with a small vestibule, focusing on functionality and maximum use of space. And so a two-in-one house was created.

In the case of this project, we were responsible not only for the design, but also for the construction of the house. On behalf of our client, we prepared all the required pre-design documentation and obtained a building permit decision.
We designed this compact, single-story house in a modern style for a family with two children. We divided it into two parts: living and private. Both are housed in separate blocks, connected by a passageway of less than 13 sqm. This allows householders to enjoy an intimate atmosphere in their bedrooms, while at the same time having easy access to the rest part of the house.

The open living room together with the dining room and kitchen occupy an area of 43 m2. Already from the entrance they impress with the vastness of space. Large-scale glazing lets in a lot of light, and the ceiling of an above-standard height gives the interior spaciousness. The biggest decoration of the room is the beautiful wooden roof truss. From the living room, homebuyers have convenient access to the pantry, utility room and one of the bathrooms.

We placed the private zone in the northern part of the house. Here we found room for three bedrooms and a second bright bathroom with a large bathtub. Each of the rooms is illuminated by a two-meter wide double balcony door. They provide residents with plenty of sunshine and direct access to the garden. The rooms, which are rectangular in plan, are adjustable and offer great freedom of arrangement. In turn, in the hosts' bedroom additional storage space is provided by a spacious dressing room.

The investors were keen not to waste space on unnecessary communication, so we wanted to keep the number of corridors to a minimum. Entering the plot from the south did not make this task easier for us. Neither did the local zoning plan, which was restrictive on the location of the building in relation to the plot boundaries.
Hence the idea was born to divide the house into two blocks connected by a vestibule. In this way we were able to provide functional division and efficient communication to all rooms. In turn, the living room gained large glazing on three sides, which let in plenty of light throughout the day.
