The area on which the house was built is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Poland in the Dunajec valley, right on Lake Rożnowskie.

The land on which the house was built is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Poland in the Dunajec valley, right on Lake Rożnowskie. The long and narrow plot with a steep slope and a view of the water posed an interesting design challenge. In close proximity to the site is a wild beach and a sailing marina. The investor's wish was to create a house with a very contemporary character. It was extremely important here to maintain a balance between modernity and traditional Malopolska architecture. The provisions of the Local Land Use Plan required the design of wide eaves, characteristic of the region, and a roof with the same sharp pitch of the main slopes.

One of the basic design guidelines was also to provide certain rooms with the best possible view of the water. According to the investor's wishes, the dining room, the master bedroom and the garage for storing collector cars were to have the best possible view of the lake. This involved almost completely opening up the southeast corner of the house. The resulting large glazing gives the body of the house a light and transparent appearance. The rest of the southern facade, was also illuminated by large glazing allowing access to the extensive terrace surrounding the first floor of the house.

Finishing materials used on the facade include gray fiber-cement panels, larch wood and aluminum sheet. The roof was finished with flat ceramic tiles in graphite color. The terrace balustrade is designed in the form of self-supporting, handleless glass panels, allowing unlimited enjoyment of the views. The combination of very traditional, natural materials with state-of-the-art technology currently used not only in housing, but also in commercial construction, was a deliberate aesthetic endeavor required by the investor.
The house consists of four basic functional zones. On the first floor there is an open living space with a dining room, kitchen, seating area, dressing room, bathroom and a spacious hall, which is the main communication core of the house. The single flight staircase leading to the first floor and to the lowest floor of the building, which is partially recessed in the slope, has been located so that it can be admired from the outside. They form a kind of functional sculpture that binds together the four seemingly separate zones of the house. The two-story lobby, lit by a façade window passing to the roof slope, enhances the sense of space. It is from here that one can see almost the entire interior of the house and access the spa area, which includes an indoor pool area, a Finnish sauna, a bathroom and a bar area with a lounge lodge. The outdoor part of the infinity pool suspended slightly above ground level is finished with a glass wall, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views surrounding the house even while diving.

The second floor of the building features an expansive sleeping area with five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large utility room. A panoramic bay window with huge windows located in the master bedroom allows one to experience nature from every point in the room. This half-glazed "sky bedroom" adapts its character to the changing weather and the seasons of the day and year.

The lowest level of the house, is primarily a work zone for the homeowners. There are two comfortable study rooms, a bathroom, storage space and a spacious three-car garage for storing collector cars.
