Minimalist interior in black and white

25 of August '22

How do you create a space for a family of five while staying true to the idea of minimalism? As much as possible you can. In the house, which was designed and arranged by The Wall studio, everything comes together perfectly.

The house was located in Warsaw's Wawer district. The clients wanted a spacious arrangement with large glazing. In the 280-square-meter building, the architects planned a kitchen, dining room, living room, study and toilet; on the first floor they located bedrooms, a dressing room, bathrooms and a laundry room.

Living room

The entire space is dominated by white. It is it, along with delicate grays and blacks that gives rhythm to the entire interior. Attention is drawn primarily to the wall, a similar wall we could admire in another realization of The Wall studio. All the elements contribute to the homogeneous character of the interior maintained in black and white dominance.

According to the clients' preferences, the apartment was to be kept in the style of cozy minimalism. The furniture, with simple geometric forms, is devoid of fancy decorations. Most of it was custom-designed by The Wall architects, who were particularly pleased with how they succeeded with the round bathroom cabinet. - Visually, it forms a perfect unity with the sink, according to Jakub Flisiak of The Wall.

Bedroom

Two things catch the eye in the wide bedroom open to the wilderness. A unique lamp resembling scattered fluorescent tubes and an amazing wall evoking marble walls. This space is subordinated to a down bed with light quilting.

Toilet

This is the only space where white has been practically removed. It was dominated by deep black broken by the color of wood. Attention is drawn primarily to the black bathtub with an unusual shape.

Dining room

The dining room was solved in an interesting way. A black tabletop was set on massive legs. Around it you will find delicate blue chairs with black legs. A small kitchen separated by a kitchen island connects all the elements.
