"10 Questions to an Interior Architect" is a new series of short talks inspired by the series "10 Questions to...". This time our attention is turned to interior architects. In today's episode Marta Szlachta talks about her approach to design.

Marta Szlachta - a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Gdansk University of Technology. In 2013 she founded her own design studio. She specializes in interior design and cubic projects. She claims that interiors are an integral part of architectural designs, so it is impossible to design a building without thinking about its interior.

1 For me, home is...

An intimate, cozy, safe place. A space to coexist together freely with family. A place to be myself.

2.The key to a successful interior design is....

Taking into account all the needs and guidelines of the investor. Functionality, completeness, timelessness, as well as balance, creativity.

3. inspiration I look for...

In fact, everywhere. It can be a particular object, color, texture, emotion or feeling.

4.In cooperation with a developer, the most important thing is...

Catching a common contact, trust and dialogue.

5. My favorite design style is...

A cozy variety of minimalism. I don't like cluttered interiors, but I also don't like interiors that seem cold.

6.The most valuable object in my home is....

I do not attach importance to objects.

7. the most common mistake in interior design on my own is....

Trying to combine many styles at the same time. Most often the interior then becomes bland.

8. my favorite material is...

Wood. Even when combined with black or white in a monochromatic interior, it adds a sense of coziness.

9.A trend I wish would pass away already is....

I don't have one.

10. I would like to live in... someday.

One of the southern countries, because of the sunny weather.
