An interior full of books? How to organize them?

The apartment arranged by Pigalopus studios was to be primarily a space dominated by books. The owners wanted to create a subtle and intimate space - filled with ceramics, painting and photography.

The project was designed for a married couple living in the Old Ochota district of Warsaw. It is worth looking at the organization of the interior - two independent places to work remotely from home are provided here, with adequate comfort and quietness. The living room is connected with a "hidden" dining room and kitchen. The designers changed the functional layout of the house, opening the living room to the hallway. The partition wall was removed and replaced with an openwork wooden bookcase.

Connected to the dining room and kitchen, the living room is a small space kept in whites. The floor was made of wooden parquet laid in a herringbone pattern. An interesting contrast was used in the selection of furniture. The sofa is kept in navy blue tones, while the armchairs are powder pink. Above the coffee table three lamps of varying shapes have been installed. On the wall you will notice a painting by Jakub Glinski. In this space also found a place for books in the form of a bookcase.

The alcove, where a simple dining room with a communist-style lamp was located, also attracts attention. This is an extremely difficult space to adapt, which was used in an excellent way.

The kitchen - mint and pink

The kitchen continues the herringbone motif on the floor. The cabinetry was realized on one side of the narrow space. Two colors reign here. Mint, visible in the fronts of the kitchen cabinets, and the accompanying soft pink in the form of glazed tiles. The kitchen space is minimalist and casual. It allows you to cook without restrictions.

bedroom and toilet

Attention is drawn to the designer rounded headboard in a dim gray-green color. A patterned carpet was decided on the floor. In the corner you will find a small, but practical desk for remote work. There was also a bookcase with books.

In the toilet space, the decision was made primarily for the color of mint and white. The cabinetry as well as the tiles blend perfectly.
