Interior architects from the mJoy studio designed a sophisticated and harmonious space that meets the expectations and needs of both the owners and their kitties.
Challenging interior
Already after the first telephone contact, the designers of the mJoy office felt that "they were on the same wavelength with the investors", and thus they were in for an extremely interesting and inspiring project. The investors were very clear about their expectations. The owners wanted a cohesive interior combining Scandinavian style with boho accents, which would be designed for two cats who like to scratch, nibble and play with various things. In view of these fluffy household members, the designers had to take care not only of the appearance, but also of the exceptional durability of the selected furniture.
-Many clients come to us with similar challenges. They say they like a wide variety of elements and have great concerns about whether they will be able to match them and maintain harmony. Fortunately, as professional interior designers, we have learned to "read between the lines," to combine many, sometimes very unobvious elements and find common features in them," says Renata Michalowicz of the mJoy office.

Kitchen and living room, or daily living, playing and relaxing space
The client wanted the island , which is the focal point of this room, to be functional, but at the same time to have a light and not overwhelming form. The designers listened to her needs and instead of a traditional built-in furniture, they suggested that the whole thing stand on stylish copper-colored metal legs. Copper accents were also used in the shelves placed just above the island and those located on the edge of the upper cabinets. Care was also taken to make the countertop look as if it were suspended above the island, which automatically made the whole thing extremely light in appearance. The drawer handles, unlike the rest of the furniture, are porcelain. On the opposite side of the living room, an openwork panel, which is a reference to natural wood and boho style, took up residence. It has a mainly decorative function, but because of the mechanism used, it works great as a way to
covering the contents of the shelves.

Bedroom, or an asylum where even cats are not allowed to enter
In the bedroom you'll find stylish curtains, a designer wooden bed with a reading headboard and a large closet as wide as 250 centimeters. The whole is complemented by a cozy workspace with a metal desk finished with a marble top.

Small tiles in a starring role
The investor dreamed of having asmany small tilesas possible in this room . That's why a mosaic tile appeared in the bathroom. Taking into account the fact that the investor loves the color mint - a subtle combination of pure and timeless white and refreshing mint has taken up residence in the room.

Corridor with catwalk
A room that both invites you into the apartment and provides a strong and very distinctive accent is the corridor - topped with a distinctive wallpaper with monkeys. Another unconventional yet highly functional accent is the door equipped with a special passage for the smallest household members. A passageway with a cat's likeness leads to a room with a laundry room and a pet corner.
