The modernist-style house is located in the suburbs. It was designed to meet the needs of a married couple whose children have already started their own lives. Its focal point is the living room connected to the kitchen. This is where the couple spends their free time, as cooking is their shared passion.
A kitchen island like a monolith
The center of the kitchen is an extremely representative kitchen island. It separates the kitchen area from the living room. The island gives the impression of a monolith and is entirely covered with satin-textured marble. The simple and compact shape gives it a distinct character. The whole is complemented by milled handles of the cabinets. The drawers are equipped with handmade organizers made of stained plywood.

Cleverly hidden
There is also tall furniture in anthracite color and matte finish. Two cabinets are equipped with drawers for storing groceries, thus replacing the pantry. The cabinets are fitted with functional pocket doors, the wings of which slide into the spaces between the units when opened. This gives free and convenient access to their contents.

Modern equipment
In one of the cabinets you will also find an additional countertop, which, along with the element on the wall, is made of the same stone as the island. An oven has been installed there. An induction cooktop with an absorber in the form of a glass pull-out from the countertop is controlled by knobs. The representative part of the kitchen is complemented by a technical kitchen, the entrance to which is subtly concealed in the built-in furniture. It has been adapted for more intensive cooking with an efficient extractor connected to the ventilation and is equipped with a dishwashing zone.
