Interior doors play a very important role in interior design. They separate rooms, prevent odors from permeating, and provide intimacy and silence. How to choose interior doors?

Types of interior doors
Single-leaf doors are the most popular choice due to the size and layout of interiors. Slightly less popular are folding doors. Sliding doors are also increasingly popular. They fit perfectly into industrial and modernist interiors. Their advantage is that they do not take up a lot of space, so they are ideal for narrow corridors. Interior doors dedicated to individual rooms differ in important finishing details. Bathroom doors must have a ventilation grille, special sleeves or an undercut. This provides airflow and additional ventilation in the interior. Sometimes this solution is also used in the kitchen. In contrast, solid doors are used in rooms.

Left or right?
The size of interior doors is another important selection criterion. Typically, there are 60, 70, 80 and 90 cm wide wings, but it's the so-called 80s that are found most often. You also need to decide which side you want the door to open to. How to do this? Just stand in front of the door, opening toward you, and see which side the hinges are on. If they are on the left side, then we are dealing with a left-hand door, and if they are on the right - then, similarly, it will be a right-hand door.

How to match the door to the door frame?
The door frame is a stationary frame into which the door leaf is inserted with the help of hinges. Questions that arise before the buyer are what type of door frame to choose and what should be its width. There are fixed and adjustable doorframes on the market, which provide an additional option for fitting into walls of non-standard thickness. The width of fixed models should be equal to the dimensions of the door. The selection of an adjustable frame requires measuring the width of the wall.
