Bathrooms combining modern classic style and Mediterranean inspiration

In the arrangement created by architect Agnieszka Musiał-Chmielnik of Musiał Studio, every detail matters, and knobs or hooks play as important a role as furniture and wall coverings. The whole design seemingly combines two different conventions - modern classic and the style of South Mediterranean interiors.

Moroccan accent

The master bathroom is used by the owners and is an integral part of the master bedroom. The dominant style here is Mediterranean. Hence the dynamic patterned tiles on part of the walls and floor were combined with white mosaic. This is a Moroccan clover, which through its shape emphasizes the atmosphere of the interior. It also delineates two bath zones. The first - with a free-standing bathtub, the second with a comfortable walk-in cabin. In the shower zone, the architect opted for a champagne-colored linear drain, which harmonizes stylistically with the brass fixtures.

The power of detail

As the architect emphasizes herself, one of the greatest strengths of the entire project is the special attention to design details. In the bathing space it manifests itself through the selection of furnishings. To emphasize the charm and subtle character of the bathroom, Agnieszka chose a customizable button that catches the eye in each bathroom.

- The buttons provided an opportunity to emphasize the character of the arrangement and how important attention to detail is here. In the master bathroom, the surface of the button was covered with white sinter. This makes visible the brass-colored button itself, which beautifully matches the linear drain or fixtures. In the downstairs toilet, on the other hand, the surface of the button blends into the wall with olive-colored tile, making the brass detail stand out while blending in with the other gold elements, the architect explains.

Dynamic bathroom design for children

Attention to detail can also be seen in the design of the children's bathroom. It is more modern, patterned and therefore also dynamic. Here, terazzo cladding has been combined with brick-shaped tiles and complemented with black and copper accents.
