Earlier we presented an arrangement of a room for a teenage girl created by Katarzyna Szostakowska of the Kate & Co. studio. Today we take a look at a bathroom design.

Southern inspiration

The investor wanted a bit of Mediterranean style in the interior. The architect achieved this by using natural colors and finishing materials.

- The client immediately knew what kind of atmosphere she wanted her future apartment to have. I was pleased to see pictures of interiors I had previously realized in the inspirations she prepared — says Katarzyna Szostakowska.

Round shapes

The leitmotif of the bathroom design is the roundness. It can be found in the form of an arched mirror, an oval free-standing bathtub and sink. Bathroom faucets also have a rounded shape. This gives the whole room a cozy and delicate character.

Like olive and flowers

It is also emphasized by a color scheme reminiscent of Mediterranean flora. Olive ceramics stand out beautifully against the background of a beige wall. A colorful accent is the cabinet top. It was made of natural red quartzite. The advantage of this material is not only its unusual appearance, but also durability. Thanks to this, the investor does not have to worry, about possible damage, even with intensive use.

Decorative imperfections

The floor is covered with stoneware in a shade of light beige. The architect deliberately chose a collection in which the tiles differ a bit. This makes the floor look as if it were laid with ancient stone. The mix of tiles from Italian manufacturers is complemented by a sandstone-like porcelain stoneware.
