Home office is a term that has become a permanent fixture in our post-pandemic reality. How to reconcile the workplace with the sphere of living so that it can be separated at any time? The arrangement was prepared by interior design studio Studio Ku.

An additional element that made such a combination difficult was the area of the apartment - thirty-nine square meters. Is it possible to reconcile everything in such a space and create a place for work-life balance.

white entrance and wooden kitchen

The hallway in the apartment is primarily a space of white. On the floor, a delicate, elegant terrazzo was chosen, which was separated by a thick black line from the rest of the apartment. A similar solution can also be seen on the ceiling. The distinguishing element here is primarily a small seat upholstered with red fabric.

In the kitchen we can notice an identical solution for the floor. The fronts of the built-in are already a light brown color of wood, contrasting with the black countertop. The kitchen, although small in size, allows to keep all the functions. Special attention is attracted by unusual handles with wavy shapes.

Pink and green in the embrace of wood and metal

The living room space is a place of rest. Brushed oak planks were decided on the floor. The living room's cabinetry is openwork bookcases made of metal frames painted black along with wood built-ins. Visible here is a dark powder pink, which reigns over part of the walls. The sofa is a bottle green color, gently contrasting with the rest of the interior. The wooden laths against the black wall are also interesting.

work space

Next to the living room and kitchen we can see a minimalist work space. Avoiding adding unnecessary elements that only distract while working, here we managed to put a simple table with a wooden top on metal black legs. A small glass display case in the corner and a wooden shelf are the only additional furnishings. The lighting, combined with lamps in the living room, is a minimalist, soft light source. In this way, it was possible to create a space that meets the needs of work and work-life balance.

Bottle green with gray browns

The bathroom space is mainly white and a delicate gray-brown color scheme seen in the tiles. On one of the walls it was decided to use terrazzo, a solution known from the kitchen and hallway. Attention is drawn primarily to the green cabinet located under the sink. The strong bottle green contrasts with the other colors of the arrangement.

well-deserved rest

The bedroom is a space of rest - mint colors are gently combined with an orange headrest. In this part you will again find openwork bookcases, on which books, accessories and flowers have been placed. In the bedroom you will find a capacious closet, which optically enlarges the interior through the use of mirrors. Attention is drawn to the bedside table, which imitates retro-style radio equipment. However, the most important thing in this arrangement remains the proper division of spaces that can serve different functions.
