1. For me, home is...
An oasis of peace. A place where I can relax and quiet my mind. A space for family, guests and friends. A comfortable place full of natural materials and heirlooms.
2. The key to a successful interior design is...
Listening to the needs of the client, and therefore designing according to the ergonomics of use. The project is supposed to be for the client and not the designer. They will live and function in the interior, not the designer/ architect.
3. I look for inspiration in...
Everywhere. In nature, on trips, at trade fairs and in foreign magazines.
4. In cooperation with a clientr the most important thing is...
Trust, understanding and willingness to pursue a common goal.
5. My favorite design style is...
There is no such style. Any good designer/architect should be able to work in any style. Of course, better or worse.
6. The most valuable object in my home is...
An old 150-year-old table, with a long history and a woodworm.
7. The most common mistake in self-decorating interiors is...
Too many things, colors and let's call it gadgets. The interior / house / premises / apartment should be cohesive, tell one story about the owner and household members.
8 My favorite material is...
Wood, stone.
9. Trend that I would like to see pass away already is...
Pseudo-Scandinavian with white kitchens and the use of a bottle-green sofa or a mustard-colored chair from a chain store.
10. Someday, I would like to live in...
An apartment in the city center, with a large roof garden. It doesn't have to be big, but close to friends and well connected so that I don't have to stand in traffic jams.
