"10 Questions to an Interior Architect" is a series of short talks inspired by the series "10 Questions to...".This time our attention is turned to interior architects. In today's episode, Weronika Sypuła of About The Form studio talks about her approach to design.

Weronika Sypuła - studied architecture at the Wrocław University of Technology. She defended her master's degree in historic preservation. However, it is the interiors that have stolen her heart and since her studies until today it is the interiors that she deals with in her About The Form studio. Privately, she is a true foodie. She loves restaurants, baked goods (especially bread) and wine. She visits Italy several times a year. She has a weakness for beautiful stationery.

1 For me, home means.

Warmth, comfort and ease. A space that reflects character and is therefore unique to each of us.

2.The key to a successful interior design is....

Good flow of the investor and the designer. Sincere communication and mutual trust allow to discover his needs and dreams. A good relationship throughout the process is really priceless.

3 - I look for inspiration....

Everywhere. Social media floods us with a mass of beautiful images, but the best ideas usually come when I take a break for a reset - a walk, a trip to a restaurant, or a short trip. Creativity needs space.

4 In working with an investor, the most important things are.

Honesty, empathy and sensitivity. Together we build his home for years to come. Open dialogue and listening to the needs of the other person is key.

5. my favorite design style is....

No specific one. I like to combine different styles. On the other hand, I appreciate naturalness the most - wood, stone, natural fabrics. This is a timeless combination that will never go out of fashion.

6. the most valuable object in my home is....

table. I love to bake and receive guests like Monica Geller from the TV series Friends, and it is the space around the table where these guests gather and spend time with us. In my opinion, it is the heart of the home and I always give it special attention in projects.

7 The most common mistake in self-designed interiors is.

Failure to adapt the interior to the needs and daily functioning. Each of us has a different rhythm of the day. Everyone works differently, relaxes differently, spends leisure time differently. What works for one person will not necessarily work for another. When looking for inspiration or guidelines for your interior, it is worth considering whether what we like visually or what is a top-down rule will definitely work in our everyday life.

8 My favorite material is.

Wood. I value this material for its vast possibilities, aesthetics, timelessness, texture, smell, refinishing option - everything!

9. a trend that I would like to see pass already is....

None. Trends change non-stop, and fashion comes full circle. It's important to find a balance between what's on trend and what we actually like and what we'll feel good in. After all, home is supposed to be a space for us.

10 I would like, someday to live....

By the sea. It relaxes me a lot, so a house right by the beach sounds like a dream come true.
