1 Home for me is.
A space that gives me a sense of peace and security. A place where I live, create and relax. A place that I constantly change and refine, because I love interior changes.
2 The key to a successful interior design is....
Skillfully combining the needs of the investor and the vision of the architect. Creating a design that, above all, will be functional, consistent and timeless. An important aspect is that the materials used are of good quality, and therefore, durable in use.
3 I look for inspiration ...
In the reality around me. It can be an interesting picture at an exhibition, a story in a book, talking to people or traveling. I am open to new ideas that come unexpectedly. They are then fresh and most interesting.
4 In cooperation with an investor the most important thing is....
Good communication and trust, which create the right relationship to go through the entire process of designing and finishing the interior. It is important for the investor to know that our professionalism and experience will allow to pass smoothly through all stages, from the design to its implementation.
5 My favorite design style is.
Not focusing on one style. It can be described as a kind of eclecticism, that is, combining different elements into a whole. I love to juxtapose the new with the old and search for unusual gems, for example, at antique fairs. I believe that a skillful combination of elements that do not match in theory gives us a chance to create a unique interior.
6 The most important item in my house is....
An armchair and a huge bookcase full of books. After a day of work I like to sit comfortably together with my labrador Coco and immerse myself in interesting reading.
7 The most common mistake in self-decoration is....
Non-functionality, resulting from lack of knowledge of ergonomics, succumbing to trends and persuasion of friends. Unconsciously skipping interior finishing stages, which are difficult to make up for later, as they require additional costs. During the design process, issues arise regarding the choice of finishing materials, which can be overwhelming for the investor and result in unconscious mistakes.
8 My favorite material is.
Wood and stone. They are natural materials that age beautifully. What I love about them is that every change, crack is some kind of story that connects with a person. These materials are always timeless.
9 A trend that I would like to see pass away already is.
I don't take trends too seriously. I believe that they should not be blindly followed, although they are undoubtedly a certain path of choice for people who are looking for design ideas.
10 I would like to, someday live in....
My heart is torn between a Parisian townhouse and a Danish modernist house. It would definitely be a place full of art, design classics and authenticity. And at the thought of being able to restore stucco or old wooden furniture, I feel my heartbeat quicken.
