Removing old plaster from brick walls is quite a common practice lately. The structure of the wall then becomes quite irregular and varied in color. The characteristic abrasions look intriguing and artistic, but sometimes they bring chaos to the room. So we can unify the arrangement by whitewashing the wall with a thin layer of paint.

Austere, but atmospheric
The effect is very interesting. It refers to the loft style, to the raw and expressive spaces of old factories, and brings an extremely original character to the interior. Brick in the interior is a beautiful solution for both lovers of rustic style, minimalism, as well as supporters of timeless classics. Carefully bricked and whitewashed partition wall will introduce an original atmosphere and cleanliness to the interior, but kept in a friendly, optically warmed form.

A brick wall, whether natural-colored or whitewashed, often becomes the main decoration of a space. As in everything, however, moderation should be exercised and only a selected part of the wall should be exposed in this way. This can be the fireplace surround, the wall behind the sofa in the living room or its fragment in the dining room. Whitewashed brick is also popularly sauced as an element of bedroom design. In a hallway, which is small, the wall will not look impressive enough, and through its structure, we can optically diminish this space.

Brick wall in the bathroom
A whitewashed wall will also look beautiful in a bathroom, harmonizing with its glass and ceramic furnishings, but here we must remember to properly protect the wall from moisture. This is best done by using a variety of primers, special impregnants for brick or ceramic paints. Most preparations can be applied in spray form, which avoids brush marks and evenly covers the surface. It is a good idea to test on a small area beforehand, because many of the protective preparations applied twice can leave a glossy effect, or gently darken the surface.
Tiles imitating white brick are also available on the market, which can be used even in the shower area or near the sink.
