Interior like a soothing wave. A summer house inspired by water

We have previously presented the "Fire" house from the Three Elements complex in Sasin. Now we take a look at the second of them, which was decorated with reference to the element of water.

With a window on the world

Among the special qualities of the cottages in Sasin are the views. The interiors open up to the surroundings with large glazings. To make them nonetheless cozy and full of warmth, the windows of the living room and master bedroom were dressed with generous, fleshy curtains made of dimout fabrics and fleshy velours. They were hung on aluminum rails obscured by a ceiling rail. Such curtains serve both as a decoration and as a practical darkening of the room. Only in the kitchen area you will find manually controlled roll-up blinds.

An arranging challenge

MartaCzerkies' studio incorporated into the space of the cottages all the guest amenities envisaged by the investor. Which of them posed the biggest challenge?

- Undoubtedly, the curtains in the master bedrooms, where the windows correspond to the shape of the slanted roof, says the designer.

In the case of slanted windows, in addition to curtains, pleated roller blinds or blinds can be used. However, the latter cannot be raised upwards, and the light inflow is regulated by changing the angle of the slats.

Soothing stream

The interior design of the "Water" cottage promotes tranquility. It is based on the juxtaposition of saturated navy blue and delicate blue with white and natural colors of wood. At the same time, it draws attention to the use of gold. This color alludes to the rays of the sun falling on the sea waves. The bedroom is decorated in bright colors. The walls are covered with a combination of light blue and beige, while on the ceiling you will find very light wood. Behind the beds, however, there are upholstered panels, which give the interior a cozy feel. The bathroom is a repetition of these colors however in darker shades. Here, navy blue has been combined with tiles with a delicate marble pattern with caramel shading. Among the most intriguing design elements of this cottage are the wallpaper patterns in the downstairs living room and in one of the bedrooms. They have something of the ebru painting technique, in which oil paints are dropped onto a mirror of water.
