Electric or induction cooktops are increasingly chosen for their functionality and great looks. However, these appliances in the kitchen also need to be taken exceptionally good care of. Often the stains and dirt that form on the hob are not easy to remove. We present ways to get rid of difficult dirt on the glass panel of the cooktop.
Do not use glass cleaner!
Intuition tells us - glass element - glass cleaner should work. Nothing could be further from the truth! Never use a glass cleaner, wanting to clean a glass cooktop. Such a cleaner won't remove tough stains, and moreover, the ammonia found in these cleaners can cause streaks or stains on the surface of the stove. Try to avoid using any cleaner that is not expressly intended for such use.

How to clean the cooktop?
There are many remedies typically designed to combat bothersome stains in ovens and glass cooktop surfaces. These can include foam pastes and sprays. In their case, it is necessary to follow the manufacturer's recommendations and the instructions on the package. However, there are also other ways to get rid of tough stains. When we do not want or do not have the opportunity to purchase specialized means, we can use these home remedies:
Vinegar
If we want to clean a glass cooktop using home remedies, we can use a concoction of vinegar and water. Just spray the cooktop with such a mixture and wipe it with a microfiber cloth. Vinegar also acts as a degreaser.
Baking soda
We can sprinkle the entire surface with baking soda. This magical powder with many uses breaks down substances, but its abrasiveness is mild enough that you can scrub the hob without scratching it.
Towel
To soften tough stains, we can use a towel soaked in hot water. It will soften the cooking residue and so we can more easily remove it with a scraper. After soaking the cloth or towel with hot water, leave it on the hob for several minutes so that the hot water and soda can soften the dirt during this time.
Scraper
When thinking about how to clean a stove with a glass top, consider the inevitable burnt rings around the burners, which won't just disappear. When used properly, a razor blade can be a glass cooktop's best friend.
