Previously, we have already presented the first floor of the lagoon house of the Butterfly Studio project. Today we take a look at the arrangement of the second floor, which was designed with the privacy of the householders in mind.

Natural serenity

The bedroom window overlooks the nearby lagoon. It was intended to be a room where investors would be able to forget their daily chores for a while and relax in silence. For this reason, architects Joanna Felczuk and Anna Baranowska opted for natural, soft materials. Thus, the main role in this arrangement is played by shades of gray and white, as well as natural wood. The walls were lined with light gray wallpaper. On the other hand, a fan appeared on the ceiling, which allows you to cool down on hot days. The window seat was upholstered with a thick fabric in a soft shade of beige. You can indulge in reading on it, as the size of this room allowed for the placement of a bookcase. There was also room for a small wooden dressing table. The headrest of the bed refers to the plaids used on the first floor. The rest of the furniture including the capacious closet is white and has a simple form.

A bathroom born of compromise

The bathroom was designed to reconcile the needs of all household members. The eternal dilemma appeared here - bathtub or shower? The investors did not want to give up anything. So, after several measurements, it was possible to move the wall to make room for a free-standing bathtub. The wall where it was placed was covered with decorative fluting. Meanwhile, a functional table in the form of a wooden stump was placed right next to it. The washing machine and dryer have found their place in the built-in furniture in the corridor, where additionally we can find space for chemicals and laundry baskets. The rest of the cosmetics were hidden behind mirrored fronts in the bathroom, which optically enlarge the entire space. The countertop washbasin stood on a navy blue cabinet, which adds a touch of color to the whole. The cozy, intimate lighting and natural tile textures make it the perfect place for a moment of relaxation.

A girl's world

The children's room is also kept in subdued colors, but it has an addition of pink. Here, too, the architects created a seat by the window. Just below it there are capacious drawers. Like the rest of the storage furniture they are kept in white and finished with natural wood handles. The rest of the furniture was made of wood and wicker. Here you will find, among other things, a comfortable armchair complemented by white cushions. The real flavor of this arrangement is the tipi tent - a perfect place to play. One of the walls was decorated with wallpaper with a mountain landscape motif. On the ceiling, meanwhile, hangs a striking lamp.
