The large, open living area of this apartment offers a breathtaking view of the Warsaw skyline. Joanna Grotkowska of the Deer Design Architectural Studio is behind the design of this extraordinary space in the heart of the capital.

Open space
Joanna Grotkowska proposed to change the functional layout of the apartment, making the interior more spacious. Instead of a separate kitchen and living room, a large living area was created, connected to the entrance hall. A pantry is located next to the kitchen, behind a door with a hidden doorframe, and a dressing room for outer garments is located to the left of the entrance. In both zones (except for the kitchen and bathroom) we have a beautiful classic fir pattern on the floor in whitened oak. The lack of divisions on the floor makes the whole seem visually larger and stylistically consistent, and the classic pattern adds elegance to the interior. Thanks to these rotations, the interior gained a layout adapted to the needs and lifestyle of the hosts.

- An individual approach to the investor and getting to know his preferences are a guarantee of successful cooperation. Creating an interior design is not the only role of an architect. As designers, we often enter the private sphere of our clients' lives to create for them an interior in which they will feel comfortable - emphasizes Joanna Grotkowska of Deer Design.

With Warsaw in the background
Right after crossing the threshold of the apartment, our gaze turns to the huge glass windows. The windows of the living room create a frame for the panorama of the capital.
-The living area is very bright, thanks to which a breathtaking view of the center of Warsaw has been exposed - says the architect.

This open area is more than 70 sqm, which makes it extremely spacious. A comfortable U-shaped corner sofa plays the first fiddle in the living room. The comfortable piece of furniture is equipped with delicate legs, which makes it not overload the space. It is illuminated by two golden lamps. On the wall opposite the relaxation area is a flat screen. Attention is drawn to the low cabinet with grooves hanging below the TV, custom-made by Deer Wood Carpentry Studio. As a result, it perfectly matches the interior. Right next to it you will find intriguing golden lamp in the form of serpentine and a sculpture. The entire interior is filled with art.

Eclectic dining room
The dining room is marked by a slightly darker accent - an oval table, over which a stately lamp hangs. This furniture is a combination of a wooden fluted leg with a top decorated with a pattern of black marble. Such a combination of "warm" and "cold" material creates an interesting and stylish contrast. The table was complemented with upholstered chairs in three types. Thus, the dining room retains an eclectic character.

Impressive kitchen
Organic shapes can also be found in the kitchen, whose built-ins were tailored by Weronika Glegoła and custom-made at Deer Wood Carpentry Studio. An unusual solution here is a mirror on the ceiling, which optically enlarges and illuminates the space above the island. Above the working belt in the kitchen there are no standard hanging cabinets, additional space for storage was separated in the pantry. Instead of them, a decorative wall lamp and a composition of stucco in the color of the wall appeared here. The space also introduces a new color to the interior - a delicate pistachio. It brilliantly delineates the kitchen area, while not disturbing the color scheme of the entire interior.
- The most important thing in designing the kitchen was to achieve an ergonomic triangle in a small space. Together with the clients, we aimed to make it not a typical room with standing and hanging cabinets. Hence, additional storage space was planned in the pantry, which is located behind a door with a hidden doorframe - the architect emphasizes.
