Previously, we have already presented bedrooms, dressing rooms and bathrooms designed by Patrycja Suszek-Raczkowska of Poco Design studio. Today we will take a look at the kitchen and dining room of an apartment in Powiśle.

A distinctive kitchen island
The living area of the apartment is an open space - especially since the wall that obscured the spectacular view from the front door like a screen, disappeared. All that remained was a structural pillar that was not easy to embrace. Eventually a kitchen island made of patterned granite with a brushed (like all the stones in the house) surface supported it. At the top hung a lamp.
- Its graphic form, probably due to the background, made me associate it with a group of birds sitting on a branch - reveals Patrycja Suszek-Rączkowska.

Hidden work zone
Behind the island, on a small section of the wall between the windows in the sharp corner, a tall kitchen cabinet appeared. And in it - all the equipment necessary during cooking, roomy cabinets and an additional countertop. Interestingly, the work zone was equipped with cassette doors. When they are open, they hide in the body of the development. When they are closed, in turn, the kitchen becomes almost invisible.
- Thanks to this, nothing distracts when household members or guests are squatting by the island over a glass of wine after a meal - the designer explains.
The niche of the work zone was entirely covered with the same stone used for the island. The niche thus resembles a hollowed-out block of rock.

Stylish dining room
On the opposite side of the massive column was the dining room. An elegant folding table reigns here. Although it has a massive body, it is easy to transport and simple to assemble. Above it were lamps delicate in form, next to it - a painting composition by Eva Jablonski.

Characteristic details
The simplicity of the forms is enriched by sophisticated, unobtrusive colors, sometimes also delicate patterns and varied textures. They work effectively with light and attract the eye. A large role in the interiors is also played by details. In the kitchen area appeared, among others, the famous Anna G. corkscrew, the orange Big Love ice cream goblet and the black Pulcina coffee machine. There are also individual elements of the 5-piece Niche platter, designed by the famous Zaha Hadid, in an endless number of applications and incarnations throughout the apartment. This object itself refers to architecture, and in the Powiśle apartment it betrays connections with motifs from paintings or furniture details.
