A big challenge for the owners was moving from a spacious house to a new apartment, combined from two smaller ones. Designer Katarzyna Sosińska immediately offered the investors thoughtful storage spaces and accessories in cobalt, Mattise's favorite color.

Artistic inspiration
In the apartment designed by the Katarzyna Sosińska Interiors, minimalism is mixed with accents of cobalt, a color that brilliantly brings out the depth and character of interiors. Color once used in Chinese porcelain and the ceramic glazes of Babylon. Henri Matisse was once particularly fond of it too. The color flooded his paintings, prints and paper cutouts with the luminescence of the sea and sky. The painter's passion for the cobalt color is reflected in his iconic series of Blue Nude lithographs, which can be seen at the Pompidou Center in Paris. Their replicas, meanwhile, are on display in this interior. The base for the introduction of this rather bold color is the white, black, maroon and brown shades present here, which combined with blue create a distinct and harmonious space. Cobalt perfectly complements this calm base, finding its place on the dining table, fabrics, paintings and accessories, such as, for example, an eye-catching geometric flowerbed on the wall.

Open space
The apartment was designed for a family with two sons. The living area of the apartment consists of a living room, kitchen and dining room. The open plan of the apartment creates a space where the whole family can spend time together. The living room with a comfortable corner sofa and a designer table has been combined with a white kitchen. It was designed as a modern and functional space, with minimalist elements of black. Open black shelves are an interesting element, adding contrast to the composition. The shelves offer an opportunity to display dishes, glasses or other kitchen decorations.

Strong accent
The intense color and unusual organic form of the dining table are a bold expression of the individuality and character of the interior residents. As a result, the table becomes not only a functional place for eating meals, but adds character to the space, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for family meals and meetings with friends. The furniture is complemented by upholstered chairs with an interesting form and a minimalist lamp.

Multifunctional bedroom
The parents' bedroom was designed with comfort, functionality and style in mind. Its focal point is a large bed with a decorative headrest. Just above it is a delicate wall of wood decorated with a painting and trinkets in a cobalt shade. The room not only serves as a place to sleep, but also has a small work area. It was delineated with the same wooden cladding, which is located above the bed. The bedroom also has room for a large closet.

Glazed bathroom
Katarzyna Sosińska also set aside space for a beautiful glazed bathroom. The space, equipped with a freestanding bathtub and a monolithic sink, is a place for relaxation and unwinding. The glazing used here allows plenty of daylight to enter. As in the bedroom, here, too, the walls have been covered with wooden wall cladding with decorative fluting. A rectangular washbasin with a stone pattern refers, to the other part of the walls covered with tiles. Just behind it we find a huge mirror, which reaches all the way to the floor, even in the place under the sink. Above the bathtub hang two silver designer lamps. They add a touch of elegance to this cozy interior.

Private area for children
The designer decided to separate the children's bedrooms from the rest of the space. At the same time, the rooms were designed so that the twins could have constant contact. Thus, the rooms were connected among themselves, creating a private zone for the boys.

The children's bathroom, which also serves as a guest bathroom, is consistent with the rest of the apartment both in style and color scheme. The dark shower recess is not only a practical solution for the boys' bathroom, but also adds an element of surprise and fun. This unique and memorable solution matches the style and color scheme of the entire apartment.
