This year's trends are distinguished by great freedom and extravagance. Although beige, marble and black have stayed in our bathrooms and are doing well, it's time to open up to new ones. Dorota Szelągowska suggests what style and innovative solutions we should choose for the bathroom.

Black furniture in the bathroom has been winning the hearts of Poles for several years now. Matte fronts in this color is a trend that will work well in both small and large bathrooms. Black contrasts well with both white accessories and stronger colors. It also goes interestingly with natural wood. Black furniture can be complemented by matte fixtures in the same color, which will add an industrial flair to the entire bathroom. Black is a difficult color to use in arrangements, so it is worth looking at inspiration from interiors of similar size beforehand.

- Black modern bathrooms are undeniably a hit of recent seasons. Although, of course, monochromatic interiors look beautiful, black will also wonderfully conquer delicate glazes in pastel colors or, for example, tiles imitating brick. My absolute favorite is the shower wall, which looks like from a real New York loft - says Dorota Szelągowska.

In vivid colors

Bottle green? Intense navy blue? These bold and increasingly fashionable bathroom colors will give a unique nobility to the arrangement. These colors will go well with white or marble, as well as light wood. If you decide on matte fronts, it is worth choosing an original shape of tiles with a glossy surface or an interesting pattern. In this way we will create a unique, elegant and, above all, timeless bathroom. In the case of green and navy blue, we can also combine the fronts with gold handles of irregular shapes, as well as with the previously mentioned black fixtures.

The new face of classics

Subdued colors such as beige or white give us unlimited arrangement possibilities and work well in small bathrooms. It's worth using classic colors in a new way, for example, putting on interesting structural tiles. Subdued color combined with an interesting structure will add character to the bathroom. The same will be true for glazed tiles and gres in shapes imitating honeycomb or classic wooden herringbone. All white, all beige or marble bathrooms do not go out of fashion, and their owners praise their versatility and timelessness.

- Bathrooms are difficult to arrange. I often encounter that people like something, but fear that they will change their minds in a while. If our taste changes like in a kaleidoscope, let's bet on base colors or structures, and leave the extravagance to accessories, which there is a lot in the bathroom. How about a set of colorful towels? An interesting soap dish? Or even cabinet handles that will take us no more than 10 minutes to replace. Let's combine and not put off the dream of a perfect bathroom for later - concludes the architect.
