Architects Magdalena Krupczak and Karolina Strojecka-Kwapisz of Kanon Design studio have designed an apartment for a pair of choreographers. The 130-meter apartment is located in Warsaw, near the Royal Route.
The unusual shape of the room posed a challenge

Challenging spatial layout
In the kitchen design, the architects used fashionable curves. Rounded forms of furniture not only added softness to the space, but also solved the problem of the unusual shape of the room.
- We adjusted the curved fronts of the kitchen furniture to the existing slants, thanks to which the space, which was difficult to develop, turned into a comfortable and functional interior. The color scheme and warm hues allude to the owner's Tuscan homeland and the corsages on the floor represent the investor's love of classics and history — explains Karolina Strojecka-Kwapisz.

Timeless design
All the necessary appliances are hidden behind the simple green-colored fronts. There is even more storage space in the unique trapezoid-shaped island. It also marks the boundary between the kitchen and dining room. The wooden parquet floor transitions into striking corsets.
- Thoughtful solutions, timeless shapes, careful selection of colors, materials and textures have resulted in a beautiful space that will certainly not go out of fashion quickly — Magdalena Krupczak concludes.

A meeting place
A comfortable dining room seamlessly connects the lounge area with the kitchen. This is an extremely important place for investors who love to invite friends over. Therefore, the designers equipped this space with a large folding table and comfortable chairs, which encourage to pleasantly spend time here in a larger group. In the dining area we can also find the motif of curves. This time in the form of rounded chair seats. Most of the furnishings are subdued, but it is worth noting the lamp suspended over the table. This element brings the colors found in the kitchen area into the dining room, however in more intense shades. Sunny yellow and juicy green are complemented by basic white and black. The form of the lamp also introduces a bit of industrial flair.
