What if an elegant and mysterious interior could be broken with a patterned accent? This was the idea proposed by the CoZa Studio studio, arranging a living room combined with an open kitchen, as part of the M_11 project. In the pages of our portal we have already introduced extremely interesting fragments of this apartment - a bathroom bathed in gray and a monochromatic children's room.

Color balance
The mystery here is intriguing. The dark tones of many planes make the interior unusual, but at the same time extremely elegant. Interestingly, the predominance of black does not, as it might seem, cause stylistic coolness. On the contrary - in a way it optically warms the space and balances the austerity of the micro concrete, from which the floor is made. This material allowed to minimize the problem of joints of the material on the floor.

Thekitchen is completely open to the living room. It consists of a wall-mounted cabinet, complete with pomierous shelves and built-in appliances, and a kitchen island that houses the cooktop, oven and sink. The island's cladding and cabinet fronts are kept in a dark gray shade. Interestingly, they are designed with the Hawa pivot and slide system, which allows the open front to slide into a space parallel to the side of the cabinets.
What clearly separates the cooking area is also the dark brown wall panels. This shade also appears on the thick wooden table top, indicating the dining space. Black chairs are arranged around it, consistently for the entire arrangement.

Living room with a stylish pillar
The rest of the room is occupied by the living room. It is formed by a lounge area with two sumptuous sofas, in a subdued light beige shade, but contrasting colorfully with the surrounding black of the walls. Amidst the comfortable poufs, a coffee table was designed in a minimalist, cuboidal form. Also impressive here is the large window glazing, with a beautiful view of nature.
However, the most surprising thing in this interior becomes the black and white chimney pillar - an accent that skillfully enlivens this elegant space. Its dynamic and abstract patterns strongly attract the eye and try to dominate the calm, cozy environment.

Lighting a dark interior
The dark interior of a house poses many challenges for designers. One of them is the higher than average absorption of light. Also, achieving its warm hue and soft expression require special design precision. Taking into account the sloping ceilings present in the interior, the studio selected STICKS lamps in the form of light lines, which can be connected by movable connectors, allowing to create light streaks stretching along the walls with different angles.
