ZAMIESZKANIE competition
Students of Architecture Faculties, Interior Design Faculties and design majors from all over Poland! We would like to invite you to participate in the ZAMIESZKANIE contest. We are looking for an innovative and ecological approach, design courage and new solutions. The winner of the first prize will get 5,000 PLN and a one-year subscription of the monthly magazine Architektura & Biznes.
We invite you to participate in the ZAMIESZKANIE contest. We are looking for the most inspiring, creative and thoughtful projects created by students related to residential architecture. With the current multicrisis, housing is becoming an even more complex and challenging design task. Pandemic, climate change and social tensions underscore the need to ensure, above all, security and stability in our homes. In addition, the provision of economically accessible housing and its readiness to adapt in response to changing conditions is becoming increasingly important. These challenges are forcing the search for innovative solutions that not only meet current needs, but are also flexible and ready for emerging uncertainties, while taking care of sustainable resource use and environmental protection.
Students of Architecture Faculties, Interior Design Faculties and design majors from all over Poland are invited to participate in the competition and submit their original works. The best of the submitted works will be published in Architektura & Biznes magazine and/or e-issue. The works will also be published on www.architekturaibiznes.pl. From this pool of works, the jury, which, in addition to the editors of A&B, will include Prof. Beata Gibała-Kapecka, Prof. Tadeusz Pietrzkiewicz and Kacper Kępiński, will select the winners, and the Readers, in an online vote, will select the winner of the Audience Award. We will publish the results at the beginning of the next calendar year.
Technical conditions
In order for your work to be published, submitted materials should include:
- author's description (about 4000 characters with spaces),
- general information (name of the university and the professor) in a separate text file or in the author's description,
- visualizations and the necessary technical drawings in a size that allows their publication, i.e. at a resolution of 300 dpi and a base of 20 cm for visualizations and photos (.jpg,.tif,.eps) and drawings in vector format (.eps,.ai,.pdf). It is permissible to provide the drawings rasterized in high resolution (300 dpi and 20 cm base -.jpg,.tif,.eps) after their prior cleaning from unnecessary auxiliary lines, anchors, etc.
- contact information (phone number and e-mail address) in a separate text file or in the author's description.
Works that do not meet the above technical requirements (incomplete), will not be subject to further substantive evaluation.
