How about letting your imagination run wild, rejecting the stylish regime in interior design and creating a freely eclectic space? Wouldn't the variety then be too overwhelming? And how to avoid chaos in the arrangement of such an interior?
We present a living room designed by {tag:pracownie}, which is a perfect example of a patchwork arrangement.

Optimistically bright space
Looking at this interior, we can see that there is a lot going on in it. It gives the impression that it was arranged spontaneously. However, there are no unconsidered elements here. Each piece of furniture complements the whole and does not stand here without a reason.
The space is cozy and optimistic in expression, despite the fact that it is bathed in blues, whites, grays and blacks, i.e. definitely cold colors. They also affect the perception of the interior as fresh and aesthetically clean. The palette of cold colors is broken by accents of complementary colors. One can notice a sunny yellow ladder, located next to a high bookshelf, as well as a fragment of a ruddy brick wall, on which graphics are hung in a rather haphazard arrangement. Also, the wooden surfaces - the tops of the coffee tables, the footstools of the steps and the floorboards - warm up the space and give it a homely feel.

The beautiful simplicity of the fan staircase
The most grandiose in the living room is the fan staircase, enclosed up to the height of the steps and finished above with a simple balustrade form in matte black. It is the only rounded shape in this part of the apartment. They present an extremely fine and solid appearance at the same time. They are comfortable and safe. They introduce an element of dynamism into the interior and become a counterbalance to the slant of the roof.

Drawing highlights and geometric abstraction on the wall
The black balustrade, lighting elements (lamps on rails and shadeless, cable-hung bulbs), metal table structures, and even curtain rods or dark frames of the graphics hung on the walls emphasize the interior directions in a cartoonish manner. Drawn from the English style, the frames seen on the walls are made of decorative moldings. They, too, divide and delineate the planes, while introducing an elegant, but also a bit rustic character.
In the central part of the apartment we will also notice a fireplace. The dark, anthracite-colored one becomes the strongest color point. To soften the contrast with the white background, a section of the wall was asymmetrically painted blue. This unconventional color stain, juxtaposed with the simple form of the fireplace, the panels delineated by the moldings and the photo frames, brings to mind the geometric abstraction popular in 20th century painting. All switches, sockets and air vents cleverly blend into the casually arranged gallery of rectangles.

Furniture and accessories
The furniture has simple forms. They encourage relaxation and freedom of use. The bookcase seems to surrender to no rules. It is a tower of shelves of various sizes, rather frivolously juxtaposed. The seats are upholstered with smooth fabrics. The light gray sofas, arranged symmetrically, merge in color with the white of the walls, and cobalt blue armchairs become the color dominant, to which, in turn, the long blue curtains relate. The living room is perfectly complemented by vegetation, further enlivening the space.

Casual, but with flair
The entire arrangement welds together a kind of movement, a discordance between rigorous pedantry and stylistic purity. However, moderation is maintained in this casual arrangement, making the interior visually light and associated with summer freshness.
