Edyta Skiba and Aleksandra Strąk from the r_au_m* design group created an industrial design for the bedroom and bathroom. The architects added elements to the interior, which warmed up the apartment and created a cozy atmosphere.

Industrial with a homey vibe
The more than 100-meter apartment is located in Lodz, Poland. So the industrial style came naturally. True, the investors are lovers of massive, loft-like solutions, but they stressed that they also wanted a warm, cozy interior. How to combine the two?
- The key to harmonizing these two different styles became the consistent juxtaposition of opposite elements, explains Edyta Skiba.
Thus, raw plywood in the form of smooth furniture fronts contrasts with the rough cladding of concrete slabs on the walls, while raw cement-textured tiles harmonize with white built-ins.

More than a bed
The arrangement of the bedroom is a great example of combining functionality and aesthetics. The central element of this room is a bed with an elaborate, decorative headboard made of light wood. This element introduces a warm, natural accent, but it doesn't only serve a decorative function. It also conceals a wardrobe closet. The dark shade of the built-in nicely contrasts with the natural shade of the wood, adding depth to the interior.

Harmonious contrasts
It is worth noting that despite the maximum use of space around the bed, the rest of the room is quite minimalist. It lacks unnecessary decorations and trinkets. The only distinctive element is a plaid chair with a cushion with a tropical pattern. Simple lines and neutral colors of the interior, combined with dark accents, such as fabrics in shades of gray and black, create a harmonious contrast. Large windows with blinds let in natural light, while green potted plants add a touch of freshness, breaking the austerity of the industrial style.

Geometric motifs
The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass door, typically industrial. The translucency of the glass introduces a sense of privacy, while allowing light to penetrate. The bathroom arrangement is distinguished by a distinctive geometric detail in the form of white hexagonal tiles. The hexagonal tiles create a uniform wall, which brings texture and subtle dynamics to the interior. The sleek chrome bathtub faucet has an interesting modern finish. The curved faucet and integrated shower handset add a modern twist to the bathroom. The combination of the cool shine of the chrome and the matte white of the tiles makes the whole look very elegant and luxurious, but at the same time simple and functional. The oval shape of the bathtub harmonizes with the round lines of the faucets.
