A bath salon is a bathroom designed as a place intended not only for hygiene, but also a space for relaxation.

The word "salon" refers here to designing this space in a similar way to a living room. Thus, in a home spa, for example, you will find upholstered furniture.

The main element of the bath salon is a large and comfortable bathtub.

Divide the bathroom space into zones. The first one should contain the bathtub and shelves or small furniture to accommodate all the bath accessories you need. The lounge space is a place for relaxation. Set a comfortable pouf, small armchair or sofa in it. A stylish chaise longue will also be ideal. Do not be afraid to bet on furniture that traditionally does not fit into the bathroom arrangement. It will give the space a living room character. The toilet part should be clearly separated and located as far as possible from the bath area. You can also separate it with a wall.

Regardless of how you design your home spa, there must be a bathtub at its central point. A freestanding bathub with a matching faucet will work best. This is a comfortable and very stylish choice. You can also opt for a model equipped with a hydromassage system. Such exposure of the bathtub will emphasize the character of the bathroom, which is a home version of a spa. Arranging a bath salon is an ideal opportunity for a bathtub with an unusual shape or interesting design. For example, you can opt for a bathtub with backlighting.

Natural materials and colors

To warm up your bathroom and create a cozy arrangement, choose earthy colors and materials taken from nature. Neutral, colors such as white, beige or gray can be complemented with stronger accents of navy blue or black. Wood and stone will also work well in the design of a home spa. You can opt for tiles made of exotic wood and those made of high-quality ceramics, which are deceptively similar to wood or stone cladding.

A relaxing atmosphere is best created by stylish lighting. After all, appropriately selected light sources can also act as decoration. The light should be composed of several sources. Combine classic lamps with wall ones and complete the whole thing with candles set on the rim of the bathtub.
