Frasca is a project by the Furora studio. The apartment is located in a Cracow tenement overlooking the Wawel Castle. In its interior you can also feel the spirit of the past.

Historical elements
The apartment is located on the top floor. The interior is very high. The ceilings are almost four meters high. The architects wanted the place to be as consistent as possible with the renovated, albeit very old, building. So they used many authentic elements, including restored doors and a tiled stove, as well as door frames. The apartment has plenty of storage spaces, but they are somewhat hidden and form an integral part of the space.
- We tried to preserve as many of the original elements as possible. However, the biggest challenge was to create a new functional layout, which allowed us to introduce the functions required by the investor and separate the relevant zones - describes the architect, Diana Żurek.
The new shape of the corridor made it possible to create an additional room and a comfortable and spacious bathroom.

Living area with a view
The part of the apartment located on the side of the old castle walls is occupied by the kitchen and living room with a separate mezzanine and dressing room. The space is dominated by intertwining shades of wood - from the chocolate tones of walnut to the light and glazed hues of chevron. Everything was complemented by classic black with a few colorful accents. Most of the furnishings were specially designed. From the kitchen built-ins and cabinets to elements such as sofas, tables and consoles. A lot of elements are modern but referr to older eras.
