Hallway in cinema style

10 of June '22

Do you remember the modern retro kitchen and living room project we described? Today we propose to visit another corner of this apartment - the hallways. We remind you that the development of this stylistically daring interior was undertaken by the Warsaw studio Poco Design.

Important first impression

The hallway, despite the fact that it is usually a small and only passable room, can be arranged in an interesting way, and thus attract the attention of guests and at the same time foreshadow the aesthetics of the rest of the house.

The owners of this house are passionate about movies, hence the furnishings allude to their cinematic interests. In the hallway, what catches our eye is a row of chairs probably obtained from the demolition of an old cinema. They are upholstered. They warm up this interior not only with their vintage form, but also with their muted pastel colors. A mirror is hung next to it, arched from the top, a motif that is repeated throughout the rest of the apartment.

The wall here is also decorated with posters that the owners have been collecting for many years. And underneath them an old-style stage spotlight looks intriguing.

In their vision, the designers departed from the standard development in favor of rounded forms, which is also evident in the arched routing of the wall dividing the hallway and kitchen.

Very elegant is its color - it is a broken pink, finished matte, in the "corner" with a placed wooden shelf, which breaks the monotony of the form.

Floor above

The upstairs is accessed by a courting staircase in a mysterious bottle-green hue. This section is enlivened by a simple Indian pink railing and a wallpaper with a botanical motif. The first floor greets us with a long corridor with a bold color combination, stimulating positive emotions.
